Frequently Asked Questions

What are Checkpoint files
A Checkpoint is a full copy of a script in progress and all the associated notes.

They have many uses but are primarily a disaster recovery feature.

We suggest you make a checkpoint copy before any 'heavy' editing session or when you want to try some ideas and need a safe point to return to without backtracking lots of changes.

Checkpoints are created from the Open Project screen. Select the master and click the Create A Checkpoint Copy button, thats it.

To reinstate a checkpoint as the master, select it and click the Make Checkpoint Into Master button.

It's bad practice to directly edit a checkpoint copy, this will inevitably lead to changes being lost.
